OLD AND TRUST

As you grow old and weak, you normally trust people because you cannot do certain things. There will be many swindlers and scammer along the way. Many of them know that the elderly have lots of savings and will endlessly be thinking ways to cheat them of their money: through scam phone calls, text messages, mails, food and product samples, get rich quick schemes, products for longevity or enlightenment, basically all they want is to get all the money. Beware, and be careful, hold your money close to you. A fool and his money are soon parted, so spend your pennies wisely. Before the sky gets dark, the last stretches of life’s journey will gradually get dimmer and dimmer; naturally, it will be harder to see the path ahead that you are treading towards and it will be harder to see the path ahead that you are treading towards and it will be harder to keep going forward. As such, upon turning 60, it would do us all well to see life for what it is, to cherish what we have, to enjoy life...

THE POTENTIAL WITHIN YOU

You have the potential within you; you just have to recognize your power. You have the will to do things; you just have to know about your role. You have the capability to do anything, you just have to go and take a stand in life. You have all the possibilities, just go and explore them right. Never waste a second of your time complaining about the seeming challenges of life. Just know that you’re not given a good life or a bad life; you’re given life and it’s up to you to make it good or bad. You hold the key to your life. Complaining doesn’t solve any problems, it rather ruins everyone’s time. Be ready to face life’s challenges headlong with a smile. Remember tough times don’t last forever and bear in mind that even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise. Challenges you must know are part of life and so don’t be discouraged, keep pushing because it’s often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock. Be focused and know that life’s short and so don’t waste it complai...

KNOW YOUR WORTH

Make sure you don't start seeing yourself through the eyes of those who don't value you. Know your worth even if they don't. You could only relate this experiences with your daily lives. There are some people in our lives who are only interested in our status in society. Once you have the juicy position or contract, or drives a nice car or have made it, it's the only time these people come around. You never see them when all these things are gone. Some are only interest in our shortfalls. These people only want something to talk about. Your downfall is their happiness. There are these people who also sees themselves in you. They aspire to be where you are with genuine intentions. Many people don't care about your problems. The rest are glad you have that problem. In the ultimate, we are only accountable to ourselves and our maker. Live life to the fullest. Don't try pleasing anyone. Life is good and short. Don't blame others for betraying you. Blame yoursel...

PUSH THROUGH

Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. Never lie to someone who trust you and never trust someone who lies to you. Your life isn’t meant to look like anyone else’s because you aren’t like anyone else. You’re a person on your own with a unique set of goals, obstacles, dreams and needs. So stop comparing and start living. Sometimes people think they cut you off but they don’t even know you’re relieved they’re gone. There will come a time when your tears will fall not because of problems but because God has answered your prayers. The power of a seed is not in its size but in the quality of its product. Every small effort of yours will always yield multiple results of blessings. Life is not by grade but by grace. Not by labour but by favour. Not by merit but by mercy. The grace, mercy and favour of God will locate you as you step out today. There ...

TODAY TO FUTURE

Today is ours, let’s live it. And love is strong let’s give it. A song can help, let’s sing it. And peace is dear, let’s bring it. The past is gone, let’s rue (bitterly regret) it. Our work is here, let’s do it. The world is wrong, let’s right it. The battle is hard, let’s fight it. The road is rough, let’s clear it. The future is vast, don’t fear it. Is faith asleep? let’s wake it. Because today is ours, let’s take it. What if you were less concerned about what others think of you, and more concerned about the truth and quality of their lives? How would that change the things you say and do? What if you could see every situation from a perspective that’s two or three levels higher than your current one? Would that improve the quality and effectiveness of your responses? What if you could instantly remember the sum of all difficulties you’ve overcome? Would that make you less worried and anxious about the future? What if you decided at the beginning of each day to be positive abou...

LOVE AND SUCCESS

Love is forgiving, accepting, moving on, embracing, and all encompassing. And if you’re not doing that for yourself, you cannot do that with anyone else. Never mix your words with your mood because you’ll have many options to change your mood but you’ll never get any options to replace your spoken words. Nothing makes a new day more beautiful and promising than having the right heart, the right spirit, the right mind and the right strength from God. When you are wrong and you surrender, it means you are honest. When you are in doubt and you surrender, it means you are wise. But when you are right and you surrender, it means you value relations. The world’s greatest achievers have been those who have always stayed focussed on their goals and have been consistent in their efforts. In all your efforts, do not forget to include God in your decision making. If you want to achieve success then don’t doubt your dreams. Your dreams are a poetic reflection of your souls wishes. Be courageo...

JUST ANOTHER COMMON SENSE LECTURE

JUST ANOTHER COMMON SENSE LECTURE. "Give Ghc 1,000 to a secondary school dropout and watch him buy a stove, a frying pan, cooking oil and other things to start Indomie business. In just five years, the young man will have a wife, a plot of land worth thousands or million, a Tokunbo car, a TV, sofa, bed, etc in his one-bedroom house. Give Ghc 15,000 to most university graduates and watch them buy Samsung Galaxy phones and several pairs of skinny jeans, take their numerous girlfriends out, take selfies and post them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. In less than two years, they will be buying Indomie on credit from the secondary school dropout and paying rent or staying in their parents' house. The question is: DOES EDUCATION BREED WASTE, ARROGANCE, GULLIBILITY AND STUPIDITY? Education does not necessarily breed any of the above, but it makes you look down on possibilities as "not befitting my status". Unemployment is actually higher amongst the educated than amongs...
